Shipping

Your order will ship in 1-3 business days after it is received. In order to provide you with the freshest coffee possible, your coffee is roasted specifically for your order in small batches. K-cups require an additional business day because they are hand-packed after roasting and grinding your beans. You will receive an email notification once your order ships with an estimated arrival time, usually 1-3 business days after shipping.

About Your Coffee

During the process of harvesting and producing our coffee, the coffee is harvested with responsibility, in ethical and sustainable ways. This means that products are ensured to have little or no significant negative impact on society, the workers and the environment.

Yes and No.

Fair Trade - While we pay well over Fair Trade pricing minimums, we do not hold fair trade certifications. Fair Trade rate is a minimum wage, established to provide proper compensation for the farmers. We typically pay higher rates because we feel the specialty coffee is worth it. 


Organic - Most coffee you come across in the specialty coffee realm will naturally be organic, especially when working with smallholder farms. Many green coffee producers cannot afford the very pricey annual costs associated with obtaining and maintaining the organic marketing sticker. Certifications like these leave out the most vulnerable farmers. Most organic certs are used strategically for very large plantations owned by wealthy global brands.

The best way to tell if it has gone bad is to use your sense of smell. If coffee has gone bad, the pleasant aroma will be gone and with it much of the taste. Using this coffee will not harm you, but will just not have much flavor if the smell is gone. It may also lose its deep dark color and appear a lighter brown.
